Tyler Edwards

Coach Edwards, 29, graduated from SGP in 2011 after playing under Dennis Pelfrey and Paul Ylda from 2008-2011.
Coach Edwards played collegiate baseball as a first baseman at Brookhaven College from 2012-2013. In 2013 he was a member of the first-ever Brookhaven baseball team to win Regionals and advance to the 2013 NJCAA World Series finishing 4th in the country. He then went on play at Texas Southern University for the 2014 baseball season. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.
The 2022 season will be his 2nd year as a part of the SGP Baseball team. 2021 he served as a volunteer assistant. Currently, he teaches Math at Jackson Middle School along with 6+ years of coaching experience in select baseball in DFW.
His responsibilities include Head Freshman coach as well as assisting both JV and Varsity teams with daily operations.
